Chicago, IL June 4, 2025 – Bostrom, an agile association management company, is proud to celebrate Jose Segarra, MNA, CAE, Strategic Director and Senior Account Executive, for being named the recipient of the 2025 Chris Mahaffey Inspiring Leader Award by Association Forum.
With over two decades of experience in the association management industry, Segarra has established himself as a values-driven leader, known for his mentorship, inclusive leadership style, and commitment to advancing equity in the profession. As Strategic Director at Bostrom, Segarra leads the Association for College and University Auditors (ACUA) and the Bostrom meetings department with a hands-on approach that emphasizes professional development, team empowerment, and organizational growth.
A long-time advocate for DEI in the association space and current ASAE Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP) scholar, Segarra is a co-founder of Association Latinos. has contributed meaningfully to the Association Forum community through volunteer leadership and peer mentorship, including serving on the board of directors from 2021-2024. His efforts have helped shape a culture of engagement, motivation, and belonging both within Bostrom and across the broader industry.
The Chris Mahaffey Inspiring Leader Award is presented annually to an individual who has created a culture that drives employee satisfaction, motivation, and achievement. Segarra will be recognized at Association Forum’s Honors Gala, taking place on June 11, 2025, at the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.
