Bostrom, an agile management driven association management company, is pleased to announce that team member Jose Segarra, MNA, CAE has been elected to the 2021-2022 Association Forum Board of Directors.
Segarra began his nonprofit career in 2000 and has been serving associations ever since. He has successfully implemented strategic initiatives and has strong skills in relationship development, governance, and team collaboration. Originally from Puerto Rico, Jose moved to Chicago in 1998 and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Communications from Loyola University-Chicago. In 2012 he graduated from North Park University with a Master’s in Nonprofit Administration.
Segarra will join the Association Forum board, a 13-member board of directors that includes association professionals from Chicago associations, as well as supplier partners, on April 1, 2021.
“Association Forum has long been the hub for the region’s association industry. As a member, I have benefited greatly from Association Forum’s resources, education, and networking opportunities. I am very excited to have this opportunity to continue to elevate the profession while lifting the voice and perspective of Hispanic association professionals. It is an honor to be able to give back to the community I’ve learned so much from,” said Segarra.
