CHICAGO, IL July, 23, 2026 – Bostrom is excited to announce that its client partner the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) has received a 2026 ASAE Power of Associations Silver Award by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) in recognition of its outstanding initiative Ensuring Professional Competency through the NAB PPA.

The initiative engaged approximately 4,500 senior living and health care leaders from across the country to modernize the knowledge, skills, and competencies that define effective practice today. Through a rigorous, evidence-based process, the project updated the NAB Domains of Practice for the national licensure examinations, helping ensure they remain current, valid, and focused on protecting the public.

The ASAE Power of Associations Awards recognize associations that leverage their unique ability to convene stakeholders, inspire collaboration, and drive meaningful change. Through innovative programs, partnerships, and advocacy efforts, award recipients exemplify how associations create lasting impact that extends well beyond the members they serve.

By aligning examination standards with the realities of modern senior living care settings, the initiative helps protect the residents, clients, families, and communities all while advancing excellence across the profession.

“ASAE’s Power of Associations Awards recognize the very best of what our community can accomplish,” said ASAE President and CEO Michelle Mason, FASAE, CAE, AAiP. “This recognition honors organizations that don’t simply advance their own missions – they bring people together to solve complex challenges, strengthen industries and professions, and create lasting benefits for society. NAB has demonstrated the vision, leadership, and commitment to make a meaningful difference, and we are proud to recognize Ensuring Professional Competency through the NAB PPA as one of this year’s outstanding achievements.”

“NAB’s leadership team set an ambitious goal of updating the Domains of Practice with rigor and evidence behind every decision, and they saw it through,” said John Dee, Bostrom CEO. “It’s a privilege for Bostrom to support an organization doing work this consequential for the senior living and long term care profession.”

“This recognition reflects the thousands of regulators, practitioners, and subject matter experts who helped shape the future of professional competency in senior living and health services administration. We’re honored that this collaborative effort is being recognized for its impact on the profession.” said Michelle Grachek, M.Ed., CAE, NAB President & CEO and Bostrom Account Executive.
