The Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO), founded in 1948, is a professional organization comprised of researchers and educators in the field of aquatic science.  The purpose of ASLO is to foster a diverse, international scientific community that creates, integrates and communicates knowledge across the full spectrum of aquatic sciences, advances public awareness and education about aquatic resources and research, and promotes scientific stewardship of aquatic resources for the public interest.

“We look forward to our partnership with Bostrom and appreciate their flexible approach to outsourcing engagements with associations,” said Teresa Curto, Executive Director of ASLO. “Bostrom and ASLO have synergies in terms of culture, detailed processes, and understanding of ASLO’s mission especially in the areas of diversity, inclusion, sustainability and community impact.”

“We are excited to welcome ASLO to our diversified group of association partnerships,” said John Dee, Bostrom CEO. “Our team is motivated and ready to support ASLO’s impact in the international, aquatic scientific community through meetings, finance, HR, and more.”

ASLO will be managed by Bostrom’s DC office and led by Account Executive Mik Bauer. Key areas of focus for ASLO include technology support, financial management, human resources, meetings, and marketing along with administrative support for ASLO staff and volunteer leaders.
