Hi! I’m
Julie Elfand

I am the Senior Director of Meetings & Expositions at Bostrom

Contract Negotiations | Budget Development and Supervision | Project and Logistical Management

I’ve been part of the meetings team at Bostrom for 24 years and have been leading the meetings department for two years. In addition to my leadership of the meetings team and building relationships with industry peers, I manage conferences and tradeshows for numerous Bostrom clients including professional trade shows and conferences—from intimate board meeting to events with 2500+ attendees. I pride myself on always meeting budget and deadline goals. I enjoy working closely with volunteer conference committees to ensure the needs of the members are met before, during, and after the conference. I utilize my experiences in project oversight, contract negotiations, logistical support, exhibitor and sponsorship management, and budget creation and implementation to ensure that Bostrom client conferences are impeccably run and meet or exceed all financial goals and attendee expectations. I am a member of PCMA and served on the Sonesta Meeting Planner Advisory Council. I have upheld my CMP Designation (Certified Meeting Professional) for nearly fifteen years.

My Background

Prior to joining Bostrom, I worked at a hotel located in downtown Washington, DC in the catering conference services department. I assisted the Director of Catering and Director of Conference Services in servicing groups arranging their sleeping room blocks and meeting and food function requirements. I attended American University and received my BSBA in Marketing.
