Portrait of Barry Eisenberg

Hi! I’m
Barry Eisenberg

I am an independent researcher/analyst and part of the Bostrom consulting team

Membership | Organizational Benchmarking | Strategy

I bring over 35 years of experience gained from responsibility and accomplishment in CEO, line management, and staff positions. Since joining the Bostrom team in 2018, my engagements have included CEO/COO coaching, organizational design, membership development, organizational and financial benchmarking, competitor analysis and strategic planning. In addition to the broad variety of experiences, my analytical approach is grounded in my graduate training in economics and mathematics, and my CAE certification from the American Society of Association Executives.

My association career began with the American Medical Association (AMA) where I held numerous positions and titles over 26 years, including a period as Senior Vice President for Membership and Federation Relations. I left AMA to assume the Executive Director position at the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM), where I served for 16 years. After retiring from ACOEM, and prior to joining Bostrom, I served as the Interim Executive Director for international association of family law attorneys. My volunteer work has recently included a 3-year term as President of the Institute of Medicine Chicago, and I currently serve as Board Chair of the Lead Abatement Resource Center; a start-up foundation focused on eliminating lead exposure to children in underserved areas.
