Administrative Assistant / Member Services Coordinator

Bostrom Corporation, an association management company, is seeking a full time administrative assistant/membership services coordinator for our Chicago office.


  • Provide administrative support and customer service for two professional associations  including telephone communications, written communications and clerical duties
  • Send membership inquiry letters and process membership applications
  • Assist in preparation of  meeting agendas, committee materials and educational programs
  • Correspond with program speakers, as necessary
  • Maintain and update membership database
  • Process meeting registrations
  • Responsible for invoicing members and managing the miscellaneous receivables
  • Update web site using content management system
  • Update committee lists and co-ordinate conference calls
  • Work with printers on meeting promotions and newsletters
  • Coordinate newsletter content and production with editors
  • Support other projects as directed by Executive Director
  • Some domestic and international travel

Skill Requirements

  • Excellent telephone techniques and customer service oriented
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to plan, prioritize tasks and solve problems
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • Prior experience with database management programs

Required Experience

  • Minimum of three years previous office experience with an emphasis on business and communication skills

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
