Every month we have an all staff meeting with our DC office and report corporate items, share client stories, celebrate that month’s birthday list, announce the employee of the month and I get to provide a New Media Minute which usually lasts longer than a minute. In December, I always try to think ahead about the next year and what we can expect to see coming in the crazy world of association management from a marketing perspective.

This month our discussion was about content marketing and I sited an article from Content Marketing Convert and Convince on the 5 Content Marketing Predictions for 2017. I thought the podcast/article reflected what we are seeing in the association world in terms of messaging getting specific, that video will reign, engagement will prove vital and content marketing may outspend traditional marketing. All of the tactics are now hitting our marketing strategies faster than I could have ever imagined.

Agile marketing is all about adapting to changes and feedback in the market and adjusting. For 2017 I see our marketing department embracing video tools, changing up campaign messaging to creatively reflect our client brands, delivering short, specific content ideas, and a new look at marketing automation and analytics that are focused and useful.

With a crazy 2016 soon behind us I wish everyone a very happy and healthy holiday season and fresh new start in 2017 with fun, focused, and fabulous agile marketing!
