John D. Dee, CPA, Appointed Bostrom COO
Dee will oversee operations in Chicago and Washington, D.C.; retains CFO responsibilities
Chicago, July 18, 2005 – Bostrom Corporation today announced that John D. Dee, CPA, chief financial officer (CFO) has been appointed chief operating officer (COO), effective immediately. Dee will be responsible for overseeing operations in the company’s two offices, Chicago and Washington, D.C., while retaining his responsibilities as CFO.
In his role as COO, Dee will continue to serve as the primary client relationship manager for all Chicago-based clients, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term engagements. In addition, he will also oversee the overall office management of the two offices including human resources, information technology, and facility maintenance.

Dee joined Bostrom in 1992 as staff accountant and has provided accounting support to numerous Bostrom clients. In 2000, Dee was appointed CFO and general manager for the Chicago office. He is a recognized expert in developing program-based financial statements for associations that enable the leadership to easily monitor the business activities of their organizations. Dee has more than 12 years of experience working with both 501(c) 3 and 501(c) 6 groups as well as for-profit organizations. His experience spans various industries including education, finance, healthcare, manufacturing, marketing, publishing, and technology.

Dee’s professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois CPA Society, the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), and the International Association of Association Management Companies for which he currently serves on its Marketing Committee.
Dee graduated with honors while earning his B.B.A. degree in Accounting from The University of Iowa in 1992. The State of Illinois recognized him as a Certified Public Accountant in 1993.
