Bostrom Acquires Clarion Management Resources, Inc.

Clarion’s Expertise and Portfolio Provides Added Value to Clients, Enhances Bostrom’s Capabilities and Reach

CHICAGO – January 16, 2008 – Bostrom, a leading professional services firm specializing in not-for-profit management, today announced its acquisition of Clarion Management Resources, Inc., an association management company based in Alexandria, Va.

“This acquisition further enhances Bostrom’s leadership position in trade associations and will help strengthen our capabilities in executive management and the government relations arena,” said Randy Lindner, president, Bostrom.  “We have aggressive growth plans and acquisitions of this type will help us accelerate that process,” said Lindner.

Founded in 1992, Clarion Management Resources, Inc. is one of the few association management companies in the world to hold accreditation from both the AMC Institute (formerly the International Association of Association Management Companies) and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). Clarion principals have had client relationships in place for decades, and some clients have been served by the same executive for almost 30 years.

“All of us at Clarion are thrilled to join the Bostrom team because of the tremendous synergies between our companies, the depth of resources that Bostrom offers and the professional opportunities within a larger organization,” said Carole Rogin, founder and president.  “And because Clarion shares the same values and a similar culture, we’re anticipating a seamless transition for clients and staff alike,” she said.

“Clarion offers the right client and association management experience and a culture and longstanding reputation that equal Bostrom’s,” said Ken Monroe, CEO, Bostrom.  “Congratulations to Carole and Randy for bringing two great companies together.”

Ms. Rogin will become a Vice President and member of Bostrom’s management team.  In addition, the Clarion staff will relocate to Bostrom’s Washington, D.C. and Chicago offices.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
