History

Bostrom is one of the oldest and most respected management companies in the country. Bostrom was established as Storms & Westcott in 1932. A respected firm and one of a few of its kind in the United States, it  provided administrative services to associations through the Depression Era. The founding philosophy was simple: Provide financial efficiencies by sharing administrative and management resources.

Provide financial efficiencies by sharing administrative and management resources.

Glenn W. Bostrom, a leader in the establishment and management of trade associations, acquired Storms & Westcott in 1965 and established Bostrom. shortly therafter.

In 1996 the late Robert E. Becker, JD, CAE succeeded Mr. Bostrom as president and CEO. Becker was also highly regarded as a leader in association management. Over the years both Bostrom and Becker were recipients of numerous management awards. What Bostrom began in the 1960s, Becker continued and grew into the 21st century. Bostrom has been able to retain some of the most respected talent in the association management company (AMC) profession.

In 2000, Bostrom's tradition of association industry leadership was strengthened when Ken Monroe was named president and CEO of Bostrom. Prior to joining Bostrom, Monroe was an association executive with the American Medical Association (AMA) for 27 years, the last 10 of which were as COO. Monroe's professional accomplishments make him one of the top association executives in the country.

In December 2004 Randy Linder was appointed president of the company, while Monroe retained the position of chairman. Combined, Monroe and Lindner have more than 50 years of association leadership experience.

Since its inception, Bostrom has become a trusted leader in the not-for-profit community by providing exceptional management, outsourcing, consulting, and technology services.
