Philip Lesser, Ph.D., CAE - Vice President

Philip Lesser, Ph.D., CAE, is senior consultant with Bostrom’s consulting division, Bostrom Consulting Associates (BCA). He is a recognized expert in strategic planning, organization assessment, leadership facilitation and development, and governance and bylaws issues.

Dr. Lesser joined Bostrom in 1993 as one of the company's senior vice presidents. During his tenure with the company, Dr. Lesser has served as executive director of the American Association of Orthopædic Medicine and the International Association of Torch Clubs, as well as associate executive director of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and managing director of the Microscopy Society of America (MSA).

Prior to joining Bostrom, Dr. Lesser was executive director of the International College of Surgeons, U.S. Section. Previously, he served as assistant director for Bar Services of the American Bar Association, where he was responsible for the management of several independent associations of leaders of the organized bar. Prior to that, he directed the Department of Education for The American Dietetic Association. He was on the faculty of The Ohio State University and was with the Ohio Board of Regents where he coordinated medical education evaluation. Currently Dr. Lesser teaches strategic planning at the University of Chicago.
