Philip Lesser, Ph.D., CAE - Vice President

PLesserPhilip Lesser, Ph.D., CAE, is senior consultant with Bostrom’s consulting division, Bostrom Consulting Associates (BCA). He is a recognized expert in strategic planning, organization assessment, leadership facilitation and development, and governance and bylaws issues.

Dr. Lesser joined Bostrom in 1993 as one of the company's senior vice presidents. During his tenure with the company, Dr. Lesser has served as executive director of the American Association of Orthopædic Medicine and the International Association of Torch Clubs, as well as associate executive director of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Currently, he is managing director of the Microscopy Society of America (MSA), a professional society of 3,000 members.

Prior to joining Bostrom Corp., Dr. Lesser was Executive Director of the International College of Surgeons, U.S. Section. Previously, he served as Assistant Director for Bar Services of the American Bar Association, where he was responsible for the management of several independent associations of leaders of the organized bar. Prior to that, he directed the Department of Education for The American Dietetic Association.

Educated at Washington University and the University of Chicago, he holds a Ph.D. in administration and policy development and is a Certified Association Executive (CAE), awarded by the American Society of Association Executives. He also participated in the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institutes for Organization Management at the University of Notre Dame.
